If you have a product or products to sell they should be online.  It opens up your target market and helps advertise your services.  It can seem too hard, but it doesn’t need to be.  Contact me to discuss a simple e-commerce solution to get your business online.  View my portfolio sites for samples.

Payment can be set up to come to you through free secure gateways such as Paypal and Stripe, or straight to a bank account as required.   Contact me to find out more.

Domain names

Purchasing a domain name (your website address) is not a big issue.  I don’t charge you for it when you set up a website with us.  However you need to be aware that you will need to renew your domain name each year.
I will remind you with an invoice and look after the process for you each time.  Your domain name will cost you around $20-40 a year.  If I can get a better rate for you I will.
Domain names ending in .com.au require an ABN number to be registered, and the domain name must match your business name as closely as possible.
Domain names ending in .com have no restrictions other than availability.

Website hosting

I have Australian based secure server space, hosted by an Australian company. All websites are regularly backed up and securely monitored. I am happy to host your website as part of the build process. One more thing you don’t need to worry about.  Just want hosting?  I am happy to host any website for you.  Special hosting rates apply for local sporting groups and community organisations.  Contact me to find out more.

Search Engine Optimisation

This is a phrase you may hear about when talking about websites.  Put simply, it means that your website is set up to ensure that search engines can find you when potential customers search for your services, and that you are always moving towards the top of the list.

You shouldn’t have to pay extra for this – it should be part of your website build.  At K Web Design it is.  By getting detailed information about your business I make sure people can find you.

Website Maintenance

All websites and e-commerce stores are built using WordPress.  This means it is simple for you to edit should you want to.  However the reality is, most small businesses are time poor and it can be more efficient to get someone who can do it quickly to do it for you.  I am happy to help.
